(a division of Brin Glass) has been a leader in the glazing industry for the upper Midwest for over 40 years. Our markets include distribution and fabrication of glass and architectural aluminum products, glass service and contract glazing. We enabled our employees to acquire beneficial ownership in 2013 when the Company formed an ESOP.<\/p>\n<p>The right person will possess exceptional analytical and communication skills. We do it right.<\/p>\n<p><b>Position Description <\/b><\/p>\n<p>This position will work closely with external clients such as Construction<br \/>\nManagers, General Contractors and Architectural Design Teams to establish project costing for contract sales. This individual will build diverse experience in the areas of document review and scope selection, relationship building and client development, building envelope integration and construction sequencing, vendor management, contract procurement and negotiation, document control and other essential functions of the sales process. This candidate will be enabled to grow and play a vital role in the company\u2019s success.<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Estimate commercial storefront using estimating software<\/li>\n<li>Develop strong relationships, ensure close collaboration and communication with owners, decision makers, construction managers, architects, engineers, and other external customers critical to a project\u2019s success.<\/li>\n<li>Accurately define work scopes and create material budgets, labor budgets, define lead times, costing allowances and contingencies.<\/li>\n<li>Develop scope of work proposal offers for all phases of project implementation (schematic design through guaranteed maximum price deliveries).<\/li>\n<li>Provide best-in-class client experience: Present meaningful contributions to the design-assistance process, innovative value engineering solutions, comprehensive pre-construction project assistance, concise and articulate collaborative interactions.<\/li>\n<li>Minimize errors to ensure costs are minimized and the project stays on schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Develop knowledge of competitive prices and aid in the price changing process<\/li>\n<li>Manage the project transition and maintain support the Project Management team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Over time and success in this role, you can expect to: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discover opportunities through relationship building and networking with clients.<\/li>\n<li>Define and implement process improvement initiatives within the front office operations<\/li>\n<li>Work on a hybrid schedule if specified KPI &amp; Sales goals are met<\/li>\n<li>Career growth opportunities to develop into a leader within the company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Required qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two-year degree, or +5 years\u2019 experience within the construction industry<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English, both oral and written required<\/li>\n<li>Experience forecasting demand needs or estimating<\/li>\n<li>Effective communicator and negotiator in terms of both verbal and written skills<\/li>\n<li>Goal oriented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Proficiencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be proficient with MS office\/excel, Outlook, estimating software (example: PartnerPak, Glazier Studio, or other)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and correctly interpret construction plans\/drawings and specifications<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and prioritization skills are an absolute must<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever changing working environment<\/li>\n<li>Aptitude for working independently on assigned projects<\/li>\n<li>Technically competent and able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preferred qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PDF markup (example: Bluebeam), scheduling software (example: MS Project, Smart Sheet), AutoCAD or Revit experience preferred, but not required<\/li>\n<li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent active listening skills<\/li>\n<li>Glass or construction Sales experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are an ESOP company.
