Ensures Brin is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA) guidelines to help reduce work-related injuries as well as quality compliance with the North American Contractor Certification (NACC) program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and quality policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates the safety programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates the effectiveness of safety and quality programs through annual audits and regular updates to policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares safety and quality information submittals for pre-construction and post-award of projects.<\/li>\n<li>Submits recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Stops operations and activities that could harm staff or equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Develops education material and conducts training for safe workplaces and well-maintained equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Investigates and documents incidents in collaboration with HR leadership to ensure effective reporting and risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Oversees the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure document organization, quality performance, and corrective\/preventative action plans.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.<\/li>\n<li>Perform and document regular safety and quality inspections in the field and at business locations.<\/li>\n<li>Perform and document regular safety training for employees and ensure compliance with the company safety manual and OSHA regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other related duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of company safety policies, applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and NACC conformance standards.<\/li>\n<li>OSHA 10 and 30 Certified, or open to becoming certified.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with union contracts and labor management, preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with government projects, and the resulting safety protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Professional written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conduct training and facilitate safety meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient working with web-based portals and document management systems.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible to work onsite, remote, and to travel to all locations and job sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About Brin<\/strong>: Established in 1912, Brin Glass Company has been a leader in the glazing industry for the upper Midwest for over 100 years.
