The Challenge 

Access was the biggest challenge on this project, with work taking place seven stories up in an active building. The general contractor needed a partner who could plan strategically, coordinate seamlessly with other trades, and execute safely without disrupting day-to-day operations. Our team was selected for our ability to problem-solve creatively, manage complex logistics, and deliver high-quality results while navigating tight site constraints.

Our Solution

To overcome the access challenge, we partnered with Vic’s Crane and Heavy Haul to safely hoist materials through unfinished openings on the upper floors. This strategic solution allowed us to deliver large components directly to the installation site without disruption. Through careful planning and multiple coordinated lifts, we kept the project moving on schedule despite limited access points.

Results Accomplished

This project included the successful installation of 26 steel-loaded curtainwall openings, 40 nurse station glass openings, and a 72-foot skywalk—each requiring precision and multi-phase coordination. What set this effort apart was the seamless collaboration across the Brin family of companies. As a Top 50 Glazier and Fabricator, we combined in-house fabrication with trusted field execution to deliver with confidence. Northwestern Glass Fab led fabrication, while glaziers from Brin and Heartland supported installation. This unified approach highlighted the strength and synergy of our teams—delivering quality results on a complex timeline.
